Energy Barkhan
Sources of energy are electricity, LPG, wood and kerosene oil. Electricity and kerosene oil are mostly used for lighting purposes. LPG and wood are used for cooking and heating purposes. There is no natural gas available, as the district is not linked with the main pipeline of Sui Southern Gas Company. LPG is mostly imported from other areas, although the district is linked to the transmission lines of both Sibi and Rakhni. Electricity is supplied through a 132 KVA transmission line via Dera Ghazi Khan.
