The district is at its initial stage of establishment, because its age is only five years. Many departments have no representation and many other departments have not moved their headquarters to the district. This situation is now becoming a bottleneck in the development of the district. It needs immediate attention. Because the present area of the district was the far flung area of the former Kachhi district and had no metal road, it used to be neglected. Hence, Jhall Magsi looks the most backward area of the division and the province. During his period of Chief Ministership, Nawab Zulfiqar Ali Khan Magsi paid due and full attention towards the development of the district. But it is not possible to cover the gap of centuries in two to three years only.

There is hardly any women’s representative to be found in the district administration, in the local councils or in the political constituencies. This has resulted in low priority of taking women’s concerns into account at all levels.

The district has potential for the development from every angle, however it needs the proper attention of the provincial and federal government, NGOs and donor agencies.
