Agriculture is the main productive sector in the district of Jhall Magsi. More than 80 percent of the population earns its livelihood in the agriculture sector. Other sectors, which also play an important role in the economy of the district, are trade and commerce, livestock, horticulture and government services. Wheat, jowar and fodder are the main subsistence crops, while rape seed is an important cash crop. Among the fruits, citrus and mangoes are the most important products. Comparatively, Jhall Magsi has a low per capita income from both livestock and agricultural production. It has hardly any activity in the field of fisheries, forestry, mining or industry.
