Tax collection in the district is the same as it is in other districts. Revenue is collected through various departments. The district council collects Zila tax, which is imposed on import and export of all commodities including animals. The town committee collects taxes like octroi bazaar tax, Kangi house tax and tax on slaughtering of animals. The revenues of taxes on water, livestock, agriculture or the registration of vehicles go to the provincial government. Income and custom duty is levied by the federal government.

The overall tax collection is poor, not only in Jhall Magsi, but also in the province’s other districts.
