The forest in Jhall Magsi district falls into the category of wild forest. The principal trees occurring in the district are Precipice Spicigra (Kandi), Capparis Aphylla (Kirar), Salvadora Olevides (Khabbar), Sisyphus Ju Ju Ba (Bari) and Calotropis Gi Gantea (Ak). Date trees are also found in Kotra, Pir Chattal, Sarghani and Gandawah. Near Ghajan, Gahela is the largest wild forest of the district. The area under forestry covers two to seven percent of the district, depending on the source of information.
